Delay Waiver
For an additional £50 +VAT we can provide a Delay Protection Waiver.
In the event of a major delay on moving day a waiting time surcharge would be normally be payable (see our Terms and Conditions clause 1.2.10).
Should we have to wait before we can unload your goods, due to delays in accessing the property to which you are moving, we reserve the right to charge waiting time. This charge will be calculated from 2:00pm – or our arrival time at your new address, if later – until the time of commencement of unloading.
Delays will usually occur if we are held up due to the departing removal company running late, a late completion or transfer of money, people moving themselves out of your new premises, missing/lost property keys, or waiting for appropriate authorisation.
Please note the Delay Waiver does not cover the goods being redelivered at a later date if you do not gain access on moving day.
The Delay Waiver should be requested when booking your removal. Once you have booked your requested dates you will need to complete the Terms and Conditions acceptance form. You can complete and return the copy sent to you or alternatively, log on to jamesremovals.moveman.net with the user name and password emailed with your quotation. Tick the relevant box (Delay Waiver) and provide us with all other requested information.
